A New Voice from the South
For an Argentine development group with a substantial global presence but new to North American shores, a branding project that introduced both the distinctive heritage of the development group, and the innovative thinking behind their latest project, a large-scale cultural and commercial district in the heart of Miami Beach. The Faena District includes contemporary architecture by such Pritzker-Prize-winning architects as Sir Norman Foster and Rem Koolhaas, as well as rehabilitated historic resort buildings: “not buildings that look old,” in the developer’s words, “but a new that works with the old.” A book series and other materials curate a story about Old World values applied to a New World landscape, and about a new voice from the global South, joining the American conversation.
The Duplex Penthouse at Faena House is about 12,500 Square Feet
The deal, which closed Monday, is the highest price ever paid for a single family home in the Miami area. The prior record was set in 2012 by the $47 million sale of a roughly 30,000-square-foot home in Indian Creek Village.
